Why I Teach
I teach because I am passionate about children being successful. The kiddos I get in my class are smarties, and my job is to get them to realize this. They need to believe in their potential. One of the greatest feelings in the world is seeing a student succeed! I teach because I believe in the importance of education. I am a life long learner, and am always looking for ways to continue to learn. I want to teach my students the importance of having an open mind, and to always be looking for opportunities to learn. I teach because I believe learning is and should be fun, and I want my students to have a year of building that foundation. If their outlook on school is a positive one, the likelihood of them being excited to come, and motivated to do well, is significantly higher. There are so many thrilling aspects of reading, writing and math, and I love showing this to my students! I teach because my students deserve a caring teacher that will create a safe, comfortable and consistent space for them every day! |

A Quote from my Administrator "Mrs. Gonzales is a highly motivated teacher and it is obvious that she loves her job." |
This website gives worksheets, templates, and lesson plans for every grade Kinder through 8th grade in Math and Language Arts. It is incredibly useful, as I use the same curriculum, and everything matches up exactly.

While I teach 1st grade, so many of the wonderful ideas this website brings are easily adapted for 1st Grade. I especially have found use of the wonderful literacy and math center suggestions!

This is a website that is an open online marketplace where teachers sell their original lesson plans and other course materials to other teachers, and also share for free. This is probably my most used resource.
